I have been trying to download this removal tool but every time I click on the provided link my broweser goes, “Sorry bee-boo bee-boo Google Chrome could not find avg.com.” Urgh!!! What do I do?

I had talked with someone on an on line chat site regarding the removal of AVG. It had locked up my computer and would not let me do anything eccept order AVG. I would like those instructions again. It had something to do with turning off your computer then restarting it and press F8 while it is starting up. Your computer goes into a safe mode art that point but then I forget what to do. Can you help me please?

Download the official avg removal tool and follow the instructions. Then use a registry cleaner such as ccleaner to make sure that there is nothing left behind from the AVG uninstallation.

I have a used laptop that I got for christmas 2009. It’s always had the avg free antivirus program in one form or another, and up until now I’ve been very happy with it’s performance. Well about a week or so ago I did something to my computer that partly screwed up my avg program. I couldn’t figure out what I’d done so I was going to uninstall and then reinstall the program. I tried uninstalling it through my control panel, I tried system restore, etc., everything I could think of. Nothing worked! I googled avg free ( my google search tool suggests things as you type), and up popped avg removal tool. I clicked on the link; I figured what have I got to lose, nothing else has worked?! It worked perfectly; It removed the program and all of it’s components from my computer. I’m going to download avg free again, once I’ve finished with this comment section, but I’m bookmarking the removal tool site just in case I run into this problem again.
