Hide or Remove Start Menu with Start Menu Remover: Start Killer

If you ever think why that button that some people even bother to make it look prettier should be put in such a position that makes the taskbar looks like a jam traffic at noon when you run many applications at once, then this one should be that utility you’re after all this time. Start Killer is an application that lets you remove the not-so-shiny of your Start menu as long as you want it to disappear. Forever, if necessary.

Nothing to be worried about. Even though you’ve removed the Start menu, you can still access it by pressing the WIN key like always. If you don’t like the icon that Start Killer puts in your tray, acting as if it is a sort of Start menu replacement, you can also remove it. You use this application to gain more space in your taskbar, so why should place another icon that can eat it up in a slightly different way? Still, you have to put another more shortcut key in your mind to remember to be able to access the Settings panel of the application in case you need to change it a little bit, like to have it loaded automatically on Windows startup.

Start Killer works under Windows 9x/Me/2000/NT4/XP/XP64/Vista/Vista64. A freeware, of course.
