If you click on a link containing a pdf or docx file, normally your browser will download it instantly. If you have a pdf reader integrated with your browser, the pdf file will be viewed inside the browser instead of being downloaded as usual. 1-click Google Docs View is an extension for Firefox that allows you to open DOCX, PDF, PPT, DOC, TIFF online in Google Docs in just one click.
Once you install 1-click Google Docs View in Firefox, any link that contains DOCX, PDF, PPT, DOC or TIFF will be converted into a new link that allows the file to be automatically opened in your Google Docs when you click it. It is that simple.

Have you tried this program: pdftodocconverterpro.com? It converts PDF to editable formats, it is very quick and easy.

There is another setting which opens .doc, .docx, .pdf, and .ppt by default in Google Apps via Chrome. By error, I had installed ‘Docs PDF/Power Point Viewer’, and files were attempting to open in Google apps. Not good when you are on MS Live, using SkyDrive, and attempting to open files from the cloud. Uninstall the viewer by going to ‘Extensions’ in Chrome.
