Change Program Files to D Drive Quickly
Geeks - To change the location of the Program Files directory to the D drive, you can follow these steps:
Open the Start menu and type "Control Panel" in the search bar.
In the Control Panel, click on "System and Security" and then select "System".
In the System window, click on the "Advanced system settings" link on the left side of the window.
In the System Properties window, click on the "Advanced" tab and then click on the "Environment Variables" button.
In the Environment Variables window, scroll down in the "System variables" section and find the "Path" variable. Click on the "Edit" button next to it.
In the Edit environment variable window, click on the "New" button and enter the path to your Program Files directory on the D drive (for example, "D:\Program Files"). Click on the "OK" button to save the changes.
After you have done this, the Program Files directory will be located on the D drive instead of the default C drive. Note that this change will only affect new programs that are installed after you make this change. Programs that were already installed before you made this change will still be located on the C drive.
